| Religious conflicts are a common phenomenon across the world today, more so in Northern part of Nigeria. Several books have been written about the cause of religious conflicts in the world and in Northern Nigeria in particular. Books and articles written about the rise of religious conflicts, especially in Northern Nigeria, have insisted that the reasons behind the rise of Islamic fundamentalism or violence in Northern Nigeria are mainly socio-political and socio-economic. This book is a departure from that position and postulates that Islamic radicalism and religious conflicts in Northern Nigeria have their roots in theology or theological indoctrination.
