Forgiveness
The book is titled forgiveness; which can be defined as a conscious deliberate decision to release feeling of resentment or vengeance towards a person who harm you regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. As a person, we have to know that there is how to forgive, process which involves, letting go of pride, accept that you have being hurt, forgive out of love, speak to someone if you can’t deal with the hurt alone, also remember that one day you too will offend someone so you just learn to let go and mentally one has to think forgiveness because we are a product of what we think. At times we do not realize who to forgive because that will help heal the wound of the hurt. For instance, you start by forgiving yourself, siblings, children, leaders and enemy. As an individual you have to move pass your past mistakes and short comings to be able to make progress in life. Your inability to forgive you for your past failure blurs your ability to see a way out of your mistakes. Now in marriages unforgiveness has been the root cause of most divorces but couples just differences. For you to enjoy lasting marriage always realize when you hurt your spouse and say sorry and try to forgive because no man or woman is perfect. Sharing the same DNA, does not mean you cannot be deeply offended by that person. So as siblings learn to leave together in love so forgiveness becomes a natural thing. Do not give room for grudges. Medically you stand to benefit a lot when you choose to forgive; healthier relationships, less anxiety and stress reduced pain, proper sleeping routine, stronger immune system and improved mental health. There are layers of forgiveness which comprises of internal, if involves your thoughts, how you react in your head. External, your actions and your speech how they also are been affected when you are hurt. Forgiveness is fast, but a persons trust has to be earned. Although you have to forgive, but don’t be in a hurry to trust the offender. I am sorry sometimes is what it takes to heal a broken heart.
