| Broken marriage is now a common occurrence in various parts of the world. In contemporary Nigeria, broken marriage is becoming increasingly high. It has created insecurity, threat to family harmony and adverse effect on the institution of marriage. The predicament of broken marriage on Children is enormous, as they may be devastated and may not receive proper parental care and training thus may not be decent, may not live a moral life and may become public nuisance in the society. Children are the future leaders thus should be properly trained to face the challenges in the future but it seems that the menace of broken marriage is robbing them of this opportunity to be properly trained, oriented and prepared as future leaders. Children from broken homes may have low self-esteem, become dropouts, social nuisance which may be detrimental to the society. This book intends to showcase how this social malady would be addressed by the positive role of the Church and the society with her valuable indigenous practices to curb divorce. |
