Yellow Sisi in Lagos
Dan Majekodunmi is an investigative reporter working behind the scenes to unravel how survivors escaped an high magnitude explosions at a military arm depot at the heart of Lagos. He picked interest in a sixteen year old survivor Olamide Beckley whose school is few kilometers from the military Cantonment, killing many of her school mates, leaving her with PTSD. His first attempt to set up a conversation with her met a Waterloo. He had to struggle desperately to find answers at the expense of his own safety. In his quest to get answers he went undercover but his identity was later got wing of by someone he least expected who would in turn change the scope of Dan’s search for answers. The question of how to put the government to its toes in this psychological fiction as many survivors were left uncared for also remained a preoccupation for the author of “Yellow Sisi In Lagos” using fictional characters in this novel to drive home the message of “Man’s Inhumanity to Man”.
