Akudo Nkemjika Christien Okeke

Nkemjika thrives in word plays and enjoys all genres of art, but finds a home in the arms of poetry and poetry calligraphy. She is a graduate of English (B.Ed) with an MSc in Tourism in Development. She is a 3-time fellow of the Ebedi International Writers Residency, and has been a resident writer at the Fidelity Bank Creative Writing Workshop and the Garden City Literary Festival Workshop. Her works have been published in literary magazines and journals around the globe, and her first poetry collection, Beyond Dialogismos, is the 2014 Book of the Year winner from the stable of Speaking Pens International. She has had her poem (Affliction’s Addiction) translated into a short movie, which earned an award nomination in a competition category in which it was shortlisted. She is the author of another poetry collection titled Adeyemi Chronicles. This is her third poetry collection, and it has a twin collection titled Scented Sanctuaries, which is her fourth poetry collection.
