In 2014, while still a PhD student, Awofeso travelled to Niger State for research data collection. The period coincided with celebrations marking Nigeria centenary. While in Bida, she learnt that Zungeru was called 'The Amalgamation City'. This piqued her interest and the researcher in her wanted to uncover more about the historic town, situated in the Wushishi LGA. This volume is about that journey.
