Yusuf Abubakar Mamud

Yusuf Abubakar Mamud is the author of three books titled "In God’s Name We Fight", "Turning Forty", "Running Against Time: A Time to Rethink" and Maiduguri, A Broken City." Abu is a seasoned administrator, researcher and university lecturer. He has written extensively on issues relating to countering violent extremism and critical thinking skills in academic journals and national newspapers. Abu advocates for inclusion of families in countering violent extremism programmes and teaching young people in both secondary and university, critical thinking skills in order to learn to interrogate the status quo and make objective decisions. Abu is married with children.
