cynthia osunwoke

Cynthia Osunwoke is a graduate of Mass Communication from Imo State University in Nigeria. She has had experience in both event planning, business management with her longest career in the telecoms business where she worked in value added services... Despite her experience, she had a natural love for children and currently owns a upcoming childrens' event center in Lagos where she has fun recreating kids fantasy parties. Writing was not something she thought she would do... But somehow, it called her when she was working in a school in 2009. She wasn't particularly happy with her then situation as she had been unsuccessful in getting a good job for 5 years after graduating from university. She felt the education system needed to look beyond grades and introduce more classes designed to motivate children and teach them life lessons so they learn to make wiser decisions from an early stage. This gave rise to the Lulu's Motivational Colouring Story Books for Kids series. These very easy to read books are centered around two Nigerian girls- Lulu and her best friend Ify. The series are for early readers and focus on teaching them one simple lesson in each book. The first book of the series hammers on bringing out the best in yourself in every situation, while the second book of the series talks on the influence of peer pressure. Though Cynthia is young in the game of children's book writing, she hopes her books with their catchy rhymes and phrases will capture the hearts of young readers everywhere. What's more, they are colouring books for EXTRA fun! She still has plans to write many more single lessons in her subsequent books. Cynthia has recently diversified her writing skills to include adult fiction novels, releasing her first book titled Survival Scars. It's a novel based on real events in her life and a must read.
