| A major revolution sweeps the Republican Party of Zidonia [RPZ] into power for the first time in thirty-two years. Despite initial goodwill, the new administration is immediately thrust into a nationwide dispute with the Congress of Zidonian Labour Union [CZLU] over the government’s proposed oil exploration in Lokogoma Forest, the country’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site. Elements of the dark world attempts to hijack the struggle and murders a major state actor. The ensuing brouhaha soon nestles at the doorstep of a barman, Boniface Amadi. Meanwhile, Boniface is locked in a dispute with his arch enemy, Makuochukwu Hassan, over a collection of treasures which rightly belongs to the traditional ruler of Owa Kingdom. Smith Gilbert, an undercover intelligence agent soon gets involved, and his interference affects both parties in differing yet significant ways.
