| The Principle of DIY in the Word |
| When you take authority and do things yourself there is a joy that comes to your heart like the one recorded in the Gospel book of Luke 10:17. The disciples had returned from the missionary journey and were telling Jesus the results and their encounter with the devils. The sense of joy and happiness is just out of this world. It gives you a great testimony which you can share with believers to encourage them and with the unbelievers in order to tell them about the power in the name of Jesus. Doing these things, by yourself proved that the word is working. Jesus had said in Jn 14: 12 that we will be able to do the same work He did. Many of the prayers will be unbelief. We ask God to do those things He has commanded us to do. Take for instance, a Christian asking God to help him defeat the devil and that God should not let the devil hurt him. It may sound good, but it is religious, and it is wrong. Little wonder our prayers are not answered most of the time we pray. . |
